Deldelp Medina

Hi, I am Deldelp Medina! I am a nerd who has worked in the Bay Area as a semi-successful Database Administrator, Project Manager, and Program Manager.

I am a self-appointed leader in the movement to diversify technology founders and workers to represent the U.S.’s changing demographics. I decided to show up and ask hard questions about the industry I love even when it hasn’t loved me back. I suggest you self-appoint yourself and use your skills to make changes in our industry.

Yes, Deldelp is a unique name. I am the daughter of painter Delfina Bernal and writer/historian Alvaro Medina. Her name is in tribute to her mother. It is pronounced Deldel. Yes, the “p” is silent.

Her family is originally from Barranquilla, Colombia. She has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since the age of eight.  She is fluent in Spanish and French as well as English.

You can follow my writing and thoughts on  Medium.com and on Twitter at @deldelp
